The Role

The Account Executive is an important part of Meazure Learning’s Higher Education sales team. This role is responsible for managing, renewing, and growing an existing group of clients. The Account Executive should have a proven history in B2B solution sales, polished customer service skills, and a passion for providing new business solutions. The Account Executive uses a consultative sales approach with a passion for discovery work to understand a prospect's business, problems, and desired business results.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong client relationships and grow our business through increased volumes, selling other Meazure Learning products & services to existing clients, or adding more tests or divisions.
  • Work with the Client Success team to make sure customers are very satisfied and to get the most renewals.
  • Create demand by helping clients find their current needs, and then clearly explain how Meazure Learning can add value through our services, solutions, and partnerships.
  • Serve as a trusted and consultative strategic advisor with our clients.
  • Conduct regular status calls and account reviews to give ideas to client executives.
  • Use Meazure Learning’s sales tools and method to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, and pipeline. Be responsible for keeping, reporting, and measuring data through Salesforce.com.
  • Develop a positive client relationship by overseeing client requests, dealing with problems, resolving escalations, and giving appropriate internal communication.
  • Drive client satisfaction throughout the entire buying process by customizing the experience and taking ownership of the sales process.
  • Build trust, credibility, and long-term relationships by developing client supporters who back Meazure Learning.
  • Develop account and opportunity plans.
  • Negotiate between internal groups to get the best result for the client and the company.
  • Work across internal teams to resolve escalations, find trends, or suggest ways to make things more efficient to make the client relationship better.
  • Promote the company image and brand through marketing and expert content.
  • Meet and go over the annual sales quota and retention goal.
  • Up to 25% travel including client meetings and conferences.

The Desired Attributes

  • Proven experience in a Sales or Account Management role. Experience with Challenger sales method is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and other sales productivity tools (such as Gong, LinkedIn Navigator).
  • Experience with sales methods (such as Challenger, MEDDPICC, Miller Heiman Strategic Selling, SNAP, SPIN). Challenger experience is a plus.
  • Ability to do well in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
  • Proven track record and shown success selling and consulting on solution platforms, SaaS, or in Ed Tech. Experience in the assessment industry and higher education is a plus.
  • Intellectually curious with the ability to understand how to create value for a client.
  • Outstanding relationship and rapport building abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills. Takes ownership and is accountable.
  • Ability to have tough conversations, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and balance time across clients, multiple partner relationships, and internal efforts daily while keeping a deep attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to interact at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong business sense, problem-solving skills, and foresight for strategy.
  • Grit, perseverance, and a strong desire to make a difference.
