Job Description

The ideal candidate will live in the northern Pacific or Mountain time zone.

As an Account Executive IV - Financial Institutions, you will carry your own sales quota within the Major & Strategic Accounts sales team and deliver digital and analog marketing, payments, deposit and loan acquisition, and other engagement solutions to your assigned territory of current Vericast bank and credit union clients. Based on your quota, you will develop account plans, set solution sales goals, find and qualify new sales chances, and partner with internal strategists, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business analysts to meet and beat your sales targets.

Your professional makeup is that of a highly influential advisor with a strong interest in helping your clients reach their goals with marketing and growth solutions. You naturally build close relationships with your clients to understand their business drivers and how they relate to wider industry trends. You expertly establish agreement for your solutions at all levels of the organization (frontline marketing and operations staff, mid-level leaders, and senior executive management).

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Successfully manage multiple ongoing complex sales cycles, with an average opportunity value between $250k and $500k.
  • Manage multiple accounts while looking for new chances, making current client relationships deeper, and creating extra business.
  • Look for new chances within your current account territory to find and qualify them, figure out who is in the buying group, lead discovery, and show solutions to potential clients.
  • Consult with bank and credit union clients on business problems and marketing program design. Ability to understand client needs, negotiate costs and services, and fix sales or delivery problems.
  • Partner with Strategists and SMEs to develop insightful proposals and give strategic sales presentations, and work with Delivery Teams to carry out project specifications and deliver quality results to clients.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects. Expected Travel is 50%.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (Required).
  • Advanced degree in business or related field (Preferred).

EXPERIENCE

  • 7-10 years in a quota-carrying sales role; demonstrated consistent over-performance.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing disciplines.
  • Recent solutions sales experience within a bank, credit union, fintech, SaaS, consulting, or other financial services related company; marketing discipline preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience and skill required in Marketing, Media, Advertising.
  • Selling through creating a convincing vision or story.
  • Use of data and ideas as a selling tool.
  • Prospecting or new business development.
  • Managing client relationships.
  • Selling multiple or combined product campaigns.
  • Understanding of the client's market and strategic needs to match and suggest the best solution.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to understand market needs and turn them into products or services.
  • Adapt easily to change, including the market, products, and internal company plans.
  • Give formal or high-effect presentations to clients and internally as needed.
  • Show Emotional (EQ) and Cognitive (IQ) Intelligence; the ability to read those around you and respond correctly intellectually and emotionally.
  • Highly developed client solution selling and targeting skills; needs very little support from management to sell or close business.

  • Show a consistent history of success in meeting and beating annual quota and business goals.
  • Strong skills in: problem resolution, overcoming objections, taking initiative, conceptual selling, presentation delivery, negotiation, innovation, and managing multiple priorities.

EQUIPMENT / SOFTWARE UTILIZED

  • Skill in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

DECISION MAKING

This position requires a high amount of reading financial information, using judgment, creativity, and/or new ideas to solve problems and decide the best service, solution, or course of action as it relates to the client goals and objectives.

Additional Information

  • Base salary: $116,000-$142,000.
  • Position is eligible for a sales incentive or commission program.
