About the Role
This is a field-based, direct sales role focused on keeping clients and growing business through contract expansion and introducing new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to create and use an effective, company-wide strategy that gets the most value from Gartner’s products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts resulting in higher customer satisfaction, better retention, and account growth.
  • Hold quota responsibility of $800,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts.
  • Master and consistently use Gartner’s sales method.
  • Handle account planning and territory management.
  • Manage forecast accuracy monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Keep up-to-date competitive knowledge and focus.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience with proven consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment), with proof of prior sales success.
  • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales skill.
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships at the C-level within large enterprise organizations.
  • Strong computer skills and presentation ability.
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree is desired.

Salary
Base salary range: $101,000 USD - $148,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
