THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a high-performing, hunter-type Account Executive ready to pioneer the new era of cloud data security with us!
As an Account Executive, you will work with Cyera's potential and current customers selling enterprise-wide cloud data security and data risk management solutions. This full-cycle sales job handles everything from looking for leads through closing large, complex sales cycles that best show Cyera's abilities and combined value.
In this role, you will need to be able to look closely at and understand a customer’s business, their process, challenges, and goals, and work as a team with a Sales Engineer to match Cyera’s technology to fixing the problems of your prospects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Show a deep understanding of Cyera’s Data Security Solutions and the value they bring to our customers.
- Create clear goals and give accurate forecasts by creating a detailed territory plan.
- Lead the sales cycle from getting leads in the pipeline to closing the deal.
- Create and give custom meetings, excellent Proofs of Value (PoVs), and business value discussions on site with customers.
- Show the ability to present and advise CISO, CDO, CPO, and CIO level executives with business ideas based on industry points of view; Keep listening, building, and growing executive relationships with customers.
- Negotiate and close business with new and current customers.
- Grow Cyera’s presence with alliance and channel partners.
- Go to marketing events, conferences, and industry networking events.
- Understand and live Cyera’s company spirit, direction, and market presence.
- Build good working relationships with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Delivery, and Executive teams to make sure plans match and company goals are met.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Mindset focused on results and a history of doing better than expected when selling large deals in a startup setting with fast growth.
- A minimum of eight years selling enterprise SaaS solutions in the cloud/security/data area to Fortune 500 customers.
- Skilled in value-based solution selling, with a sharp focus on giving real business results, making sure they match the final business value.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Strong presentation skills and the ability to create new solutions that move the sales process forward.
- Proven understanding of cloud settings (AWS, Azure, or GCP), security in the cloud, and data risk. Strong preference for candidates with a cloud security, data, or AI sales background.
- Basic understanding of different data security and compliance structures and how this affects business value.
- Must show skill in carrying out a formal sales process and be familiar with qualification structures and sales forecasting/management tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, active setting with the ability to adjust quickly to changing situations.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed, about 50% depending on the sales cycle.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
In addition to a standard benefits and equity package, we offer a generous salary. Final pay will change based on seniority and how relevant the experience is, location, and job needs. This role may be able to get possible merit increases based on things like individual or company performance, time in the role, and other choices.
