Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a new sales pipeline equal to at least 4.5 times the quota by finding and qualifying new sales chances.
- Find and take advantage of chances to sell more or different products within current accounts to bring in the most money and add more value for clients.
- Work with Customer Success and Sales Development Representative teams to make sure transitions are smooth, client happiness is better, and sales plans are more effective through shared ideas and coordinated work.
- Manage pipeline work with accuracy, including correct forecasting and reporting in Salesforce CRM.
- Act as a trusted advisor to people interested in buying throughout the whole buying process.
- Provide correct quotes and contracts for new sales and guide them through making a decision.
- Change sales talking points and product demonstrations to fit the specific needs and problems of each person interested in buying.
- Travel to client meetings and industry events when needed to represent SchoolStatus and build relationships with important people.
- Reach quarterly and yearly income goals for new business, driving growth and helping the company succeed.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 plus years of relevant sales experience, including proven success in K-12 technology software sales.
- Have established networks of Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, CIOs, CFOs, and CAOs within the Washington or Oregon territory.
- Show the ability to find new business and land big accounts in sales cycles of different lengths, working with many influencers and decision-makers.
- Regularly meet or beat sales quotas, showing growth in sales performance.
- Able to find and qualify new leads and chances, building a strong pipeline.
- Skilled in sales methods and able to change pitches for different buyer types.
- High personal honesty, a habit of following through, and attention to detail, making sure all sales activities are correct and reliable.
- Excellent skills in talking to people, setting priorities, and negotiating, with the ability to work well with people at all levels of an organization.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Must live within the Washington or Oregon territory.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Possess a deep understanding of K-12 buying personas and what motivates them.
- Able to change communication styles to fit the needs of specific personas like Superintendents, CIOs, CFOs, and CAOs.
Salary
- U.S. Pay Range: $90,000 to $110,000 USD base plus commission.
- The final base pay will depend on job-related, non-discriminatory factors like experience. More information about the total pay package will be given during the interview.
