💼 The Role

As an Actuarial Assistant at Boost, you'll be a key player in our growing team, developing and executing pricing initiatives across various business lines. Reporting to the Lead Actuary, you'll gain invaluable experience in the insurtech world.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Prepare and analyze data.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies align with company goals and regulations.
• Optimize pricing models to drive profitability.
• Understand product performance and develop pricing models for new and existing products.
• Set reserves across all products and geographies.
• Create tools and processes for rating programs (admitted and non-admitted products).
• Modernize actuarial best practices for a fast-paced environment.

💯 What We're Looking For

• Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience (ACAS or higher); excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong quantitative and analytical skills; programming comfort.
• Preferred: Experience automating processes using code; experience building, validating, and applying statistical methods; experience with reserving and/or claims-made products; excellent documentation skills.

• Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000 USD per year (NYC residents). (Note: The final salary will depend on experience and other factors.)
