πΌ The Role
As an Actuarial Assistant at Boost, you'll be a key player in our growing team, developing and executing pricing initiatives across various business lines. Reporting to the Lead Actuary, you'll gain invaluable experience in the insurtech world.
π― What You'll Do
- Prepare and analyze data.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies align with company goals and regulations.
- Optimize pricing models to drive profitability.
- Understand product performance and develop pricing models for new and existing products.
- Set reserves across all products and geographies.
- Create tools and processes for rating programs (admitted and non-admitted products).
- Modernize actuarial best practices for a fast-paced environment.
π― What We're Looking For

Required:Β Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience (ACAS or higher); excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong quantitative and analytical skills; programming comfort.

Preferred:Β Experience automating processes using code; experience building, validating, and applying statistical methods; experience with reserving and/or claims-made products; excellent documentation skills.

Compensation:Β $100,000 - $140,000 USD per year (NYC residents). (Note: The final salary will depend on experience and other factors.)
