We are building an online course for experienced software developers on how to practically use AI tools in professional programming workflows.

Role Overview

As the Instructor, you will lead interactive live sessions that go beyond just watching. You will empower engineers to use AI tools critically and effectively in real-world situations. Your audience will be B2B clients: skilled developers in fast-moving settings who want to improve productivity, code quality, and development speed using AI. You will work with the course team to design, lead, and adjust expert-led live sessions delivered over several weeks.

Responsibilities

• Get familiar with the scenarios for live training sessions on AI Development Topics we designed. Topics include prompting, coding with AI Assistance, and working with MCP servers.
• Adjust the final version of the scenario with our Instructional Designer.
• Conduct live training sessions.
• Review and use feedback from learners to constantly make session design better.
• Work with the curriculum team to make sure live content strongly matches the content done on your own time.
• Communicate with students during the Q&A session about the Capstone Project.

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in backend or full-stack roles.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Replit, Cursor, etc.).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and AI-related risks.
• Comfort with system design, testing approaches, and developer tools.

Instructional Skills and Soft Skills

• Ability to break down complex ideas into useful, engaging formats.
• Skilled in live facilitation (or willing to learn fast): you know how to start discussions, handle Q&A, and change things in the moment.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Miro, Slack, VSCode Live Share, etc.).
• Excellent spoken Spanish and clear technical communication.
• Confident, collaborative, and audience-focused mindset.
• Strong time management and preparation habits.

Background

• Proven history in developer advocacy, tech leadership, conference participation, or mentoring.
• Experience teaching or coaching developers is a big advantage.

• Pay Rate: $50/hr. to $90/hr. (Gross Pay).
