The Role 💼
This Associate Director, Development role leads a team responsible for a multi-million dollar revenue portfolio. You'll manage priority relationships, account management, events, and fundraising activities, ensuring the team meets ambitious income targets while integrating mission and advocacy efforts. You'll empower your team to engage diverse partners, constituents, and volunteers.
What You'll Do 🎯

Team Leadership: Manage, coach, develop, and train a team of development staff, each with substantial account and revenue responsibilities.

Revenue Generation: Achieve significant revenue targets through effective management of priority relationships, account management, fundraising activities, and events.

Volunteer Engagement: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and customers to execute fundraising plans and reach revenue goals.

Strategic Contribution: Participate in the Market Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning.

Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with target partners, organizations, corporations, and individuals.

Best Practices Implementation: Implement best practices for revenue growth, adapting to feedback and driving innovation for new revenue opportunities.

Financial Management: Monitor financial expenditures, ensuring budget adherence and a high return on investment.

Constituent Engagement: Create engaging experiences for priority constituents (participants, teams, sponsors, survivors, caregivers).

Collaboration: Collaborate with development team members, Marketing, Cancer Control, and ACS CAN staff to maximize success.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with ACS policies (employment, risk management, event/cash handling, data management, financial controls).

Culture Building: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with ACS values.
What You'll Need 💪

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: Five years of related experience preferred; multi-million dollar organization experience a plus. Prior staff management experience is highly valued.
