👨‍⚕️ The Role: (Associate) Medical Director - Neurology

This client-dedicated role provides crucial medical support and advice for clinical trials and safety evaluations within our Pharmacovigilance department. You'll be a key player in ensuring the medical validity of studies and the safety of participants.

🎯 What You'll Do:

  • Provide medical leadership to study teams, including protocol creation and implementation using the latest scientific information.
  • Contribute to site selection and review/approve study protocols, amendments, CSRs, ICFs, CRFs, and other clinical documents.
  • Conduct real-time medical monitoring of clinical studies, ensuring medical validity of primary endpoints and subject safety.
  • Proactively address customer concerns and correct issues in consultation with the Global Medical Indication Lead.
  • Consult with internal groups and support staff regarding procedural and budgetary items and protocol amendments. Serve as the liaison between the sponsor and all PPD/Thermo Fisher Scientific internal departments.
  • Educate investigator sites by presenting and demonstrating protocol-specific lab procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day activities during clinical trials, resolving issues and answering queries.
  • Serve as the medical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including investigators, IRBs, and health authorities. Prepare and present materials to study executives and independent safety committees (if applicable). Provide medical training to site staff and CRAs.
  • Ensure study compliance with all relevant SOPs and GCP.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional study team members to ensure transparency regarding medical risks, issues, and results.

✅ What We're Looking For:

  • Education: MD, MB/BS, or equivalent degree with strong medical knowledge and clinical experience managing Neurology patients in a hospital setting.
  • Experience: Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical medicine.
  • Language: Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding and experience with NDA submission processes and regulatory guidelines for adverse event reporting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills; a collaborative team player.
