👨‍💻 The Role:

Join Continental’s eCommerce, Fleet Solutions, and Data Science Information Technology Competence Center! This team builds global tech platforms using IoT, big data, and automated service management, constantly striving to improve user experience for fleet customers. You'll be part of a global team working on ContiConnect, a digital tire monitoring platform for commercial fleets worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the ContiConnect DevOps team (Europe-based) to provide production support for the global web and mobile application.
• Develop new features for ContiConnect.
• Debug and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Compile technical documentation and user assistance materials.
• Follow Scrum/Agile methodologies.

Requirements:

• Essential: University degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Essential: 3+ years of experience in Java programming, ideally Spring Boot.
• Essential: Experience with client-server applications and microservice architecture.
• Essential: Experience supporting and operating a multi-user software system.
• Essential: Profound knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Essential: Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
• Essential: Software Engineering skills.
• Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Essential: Excellent organizational skills.
• Essential: Ability to work independently as part of a global team.

Preferred Experience:

• ITSM experience
• Apache Kafka experience
• Basic Linux shell knowledge
• Angular 14+ knowledge
• Proficiency with continuous integration tools (git, Jenkins, SonarQube)
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes environment
