🌍 The Role

Join our Institutional & Wholesale Fund Reporting team in Oeiras, Portugal, a team of 17 professionals. As a Business Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between business goals and technical solutions, working closely with developers and stakeholders. You'll analyze, design, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and provide our clients with the most comprehensive and accurate data for informed investment decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyzing, designing, and implementing robust solutions like data flows, database modeling, calculations, reporting, and API/Kafka integrations.
  • Understanding the system's technical setup and business concepts.
  • Acting as the liaison between business users and developers.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies and managing our change management pipeline (Jira, Confluence, and others).
  • Collaborating in roadmap prioritization.
  • Maintaining clear and updated solution documentation.
  • Participating in project management, aligning delivery schedules and priorities with various stakeholders.
  • Supporting business users with End User Built applications.
  • Developing your expertise in the Luxembourg fund industry, regulations, fund management, and financial derivative instruments.

Who We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Possess a strong understanding of data modeling.
  • Have general knowledge of system architecture principles.
  • Be a skilled writer with a strong ability to synthesize information. You should be able to articulate both business and technical aspects of solutions clearly.
  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, Python, or other programming languages is considered a plus.
  • Have a genuine interest in the finance industry and asset management.
  • Be proactive in finding solutions and open to new ideas, using critical thinking.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities. You'll need to listen carefully to gather requirements and steer discussions towards achieving goals.
  • Be detail-oriented and able to explain complex concepts in a simple and comprehensive way.

Your Background & Experience

  • Master's degreeΒ in engineering, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • A double degree in Engineering/Finance would be a bonus.
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst in the finance industry is beneficial.
