๐ฏ The Role:
This volunteer Team Lead position offers significant leadership development within a dynamic nonprofit consulting environment. You'll guide a team, manage projects, and contribute directly to the success of our client organizations.
What You'll Do:
- ๐ค Guide the Board of Directors in developing strategic and operational plans, identifying short- and long-term priorities.
- ๐ Track KPIs and project progress, presenting management reports to the board.
- ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Foster a leadership-based culture within the team, providing mentorship and guidance.
- ๐๏ธ Manage team meetings, agendas, projects, and ongoing activities.
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Ensure effective communication and resource utilization within and across teams.
- ๐ค Promote volunteer engagement and represent the team at events to build relationships.
- ๐ค Work closely with the Board Chair to execute the team's strategy, seeking approvals as needed.
- ๐ฏ Assist the Board in strategic planning and identifying annual priorities.
- ๐ Track BCS activities and present reports to the board.
- ๐ Develop business plans and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Engage with CLASS clients to assess the impact of our work and explore future projects/referrals.
- ๐ค Cultivate relationships with current and past clients to secure repeat business.
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Represent CLASS at nonprofit events.
- ๐ค Ensure coordination of strategies and goals across different functions.
- ๐ผ Lead and manage divisions and projects, mentoring team members.
- ๐ฏ Assign projects based on volunteer skills and interests.
- ๐ผ Manage client projects.
- ๐ค Oversee the Practice Development Lead and PMO Lead, ensuring consistent communication and addressing challenges.
- ๐ Develop new project plans based on BCS roles and functions.
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Keep the Board Chair updated on progress, issues, and challenges.
- ๐ Drive continuous process improvement within the team.
๐ช What We're Looking For:
- Education & Experience: MBA with 8-10+ years of professional management experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a results-oriented approach.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attitude: Positive attitude and commitment to projects.
- Performance & Approval: Successful performance and board approval are required.

- Minimum 1-year commitment.
- Attendance at weekly meetings (2 in-person, 2 conference calls).
- Minimum 5 hours/week (excluding meeting time).
