🎯 The Role:

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing sales by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business.
  • Hunting for new opportunities and identifying target accounts and prospects.
  • Strategically growing existing accounts by finding new business in current and new divisions, collaborating with the Program Manager.
  • Following up on inbound leads and traveling to customer and Mack locations.
  • Generating quotes (with manager approval), presenting to customers, and negotiating terms.
  • After a program is awarded, working with the assigned program manager to transfer all program information and support the first stage gate review.
  • Providing weekly summaries of opportunities, needs, and travel plans.
  • Utilizing Salesforce for lead and opportunity tracking.
  • Reviewing and signing NDAs.
  • Attending Mack tradeshows.

  • Experience:Β 5+ years in medical manufacturing sales.
  • Background:Β Engineering background with competency in medical devices, plastics, metal, and assembly.
  • Skills:Β Proficiency in reviewing and understanding drawings, specifications, and solutions; strong organizational skills to maintain a robust pipeline; excellent communication and customer service skills (listening to customer needs, identifying objections, presenting solutions, and maintaining rapport throughout the sales cycle).
  • Attributes:Β Self-starter, disciplined, able to leverage the benefits of a field-based role.
  • Location:Β Ideally located in the NY, NJ, or PA region.
