What You'll Do:Β π―
- Achieve and exceed personal sales targets, maximizing new business profitability.
- Actively seek new customers and projects using various methods (networking, trade shows, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Build and nurture relationships with key contacts and decision-makers at prospective clients.
- Follow up on all new business inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with colleagues globally to ensure effective responses to customer inquiries.
- Prepare and submit bids for identified opportunities, aligning projects with Hovione's resources and capacity.
- Analyze data within Hovione's CRM system to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Participate in negotiating contracts (CDAs, MSAs, CSAs) with the Senior Director.
- Create and monitor targeted plans for your assigned region.
- Contribute to developing competitive mitigation strategies (investigating collaborations, partnerships, in-licensing).
- Identify market trends and propose new product/service ideas.
- Identify new opportunities for existing products/services, collaborating with the Account Management team.
- Monitor customer accounts and market activity, providing insightful analysis.
- Prepare reports and data analytics.
- Represent Hovione at key trade shows.
- Develop and share expertise in Hovione's product and service offerings.
- Manage and mentor team members (recruitment, integration, training, performance management), aligning them with Hovione's goals and culture.
- Develop and propose (for approval) activity plans and budgets, aligned with unit strategy.
- Monitor your budget, identifying and addressing deviations.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HSE guidelines, and internal/external requirements.
What We're Looking For:Β π€

Education:Β Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A technical background is preferred.

Experience:Β Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience in business development or a related commercial role within the pharmaceutical sector. Experience leading others in a project context is a must.

Skills:Β Proven ability to exceed targets, strong time management and multitasking skills, experience in budget planning and forecasting, excellent communication (written and verbal), proficiency in managing processes and tools. Fluency in English is required. Experience in secondary pharmaceutical activities, pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing, and knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain and market are desirable. A strong understanding of pharmaceutical account management, marketing, sales, and business development principles and practices is essential. Knowledge of pharmaceutical cGMP and regulatory requirements is also necessary. You must possess the knowledge, experience, and skills to perform tasks according to established rules and procedures.
