The Fabrics Business Unit The Fabrics Business Unit produces and delivers paper machine clothing and filtration fabrics to the Pulp and Paper industry globally. Our offering helps our customers increase productivity, achieve lower operating costs, save energy, and improve quality.
What You'll Do As a Controller, you'll be a key player in supporting the local management team in achieving business targets within the Service Fabrics Business Unit. You'll ensure Valmet Ltda. Operations are compliant with Valmet and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- 🤝 Support management reporting in HFM (Valmet reporting tool)
- 🤝 Assist operations teams in both Ovar factories and sales teams for various Valmet businesses in Portugal
- 📊 Analyze and prepare financial statements
- 📈 Analyze deviations and realization of plans and forecasts
- 📝 Prepare and analyze monthly reporting for decision-making
- ⚙️ Organize and maintain the industrial costing system (BOMs and Routings)
- 📈 Coordinate the definition of indicators in different areas and collect information for production reports with relevant business KPIs
- 🗓️ Efficiently support the preparation and monthly/annual closing of the company's accounts
- 🕵️♀️ Assist the Finance Manager with internal and external audits of management and accounting processes
- 📦 Follow up of stock levels and working capital
- 💻 Support with ERP implementation and propose improvements
What We're Looking For
- 🎓 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Management
- 💼 Proven experience of at least 5 years in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment
- 🗣️ Fluent in spoken and written English
- 🧠 Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and planning abilities
- 💻 Excellent computer skills, particularly in SAP ERP (preferred)
- 💪 Capacity for initiative and versatility, resistance to stress
- 💰 Consolidated knowledge of Financial Analysis
- 🧮 Good knowledge of general and analytical accounting
