Salary
US market data minimum $100,000 - $110,000 maximum wage range. The salary range may vary based on experience, skillset, educational background, and geographical location.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in information systems, data science, statistics, or related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or analytics, preferably in a federal or regulated environment.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience in data quality assurance analysis.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in SQL, Python, or R for data querying and analysis.
- Proficient in the adoption and customization of Azure DevOps server.
- Familiarity with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Collibra).
- Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Other Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Team leadership and mentoring skills.
- Development of and management of successful client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of Standards:
- Federal governance frameworks (e.g., Chief Data Officers (CDO) Council, Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA)).
- USCIS-specific data policies and privacy protocols.
Job Duties
- Data Validation and Cleansing: Identify and correct inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors in large datasets.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and apply data quality rules, metrics, and standards to ensure compliance with USCIS policies.
- Tool Utilization: Use SQL, Excel, and data profiling tools to assess and improve data quality.
- Metadata Management: Maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to support transparency and consistency.
- Collaboration: Work with data stewards, IT teams, and program managers to resolve data issues and improve data flows.
- Reporting: Generate dashboards and reports to communicate data quality trends and anomalies to stakeholders.
- Compliance Support: Ensure data practices align with federal regulations, privacy standards, and internal controls.
