⚙️ About the Role:

We're searching for a detail-oriented Data Engineer to support analytics initiatives. You'll be key to developing and maintaining data pipelines, working closely with engineering teams in China. This role requires strong ETL, data warehousing, and SQL skills, along with a passion for problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities: 💼

• Partner with various teams (leadership, engineers, program managers, data scientists) to define data needs.
• Design, build, and launch efficient, reliable data pipelines for data transformation (both large and small datasets).
• Securely source external data from multiple partners.
• Create data models for optimal storage and retrieval.
• Implement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
• Optimize existing pipelines and maintain domain-related data pipelines.
• Own the end-to-end data engineering component of solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers to develop systems for easy data access.

Skills & Qualifications: 🎯

• 5+ years of total experience.
• Fluent Mandarin (required).
• Experience working with China-based engineering teams.
• 5+ years in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience with modern data transformation tools like DBT.
• Advanced database and SQL knowledge.
• Experience integrating and orchestrating data workflows with various tools and systems.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Snowflake experience.
• AWS experience (a plus).
• Experience with Airflow, DBT Cloud, or AWS Step Functions (a plus).
• Python programming experience.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Looker or Tableau (a plus).
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• US West Coast location preferred.
