Data Integration Engineer (m/w/d) - Portugal

 👋 About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join pacemaker.ai as a Data Integration Engineer, working remotely from anywhere in Portugal (with the option to work from another EU country for 20 days a year!). You'll be a key player in integrating diverse data sources into our central platform, collaborating with Data Science, DevOps, and Product teams.

🚀 What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions connecting external sources and customer systems to our central data platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration strategies aligned with business goals.
• Support data scientists in optimizing data pipelines for scalability and efficiency.
• Leverage technologies like Azure cloud services, Talend Data Integration, Kubernetes, Python, Postgres, and other databases to build robust data solutions.
• Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security.
• Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and proactively ensure optimal performance.
• Stay current on industry trends and technologies to enhance our data integration capabilities.

💪 What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience designing and implementing data integration solutions in a cloud environment (Azure preferred).
• Proficiency in data integration tools like Talend Data Integration or similar ETL tools.
• Strong Python programming skills for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (Postgres) and SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
• Effective communication and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
