The Role The Dealer Performance Manager is responsible for engaging, supporting, and retaining dealer accounts within their assigned region to ensure consistent revenue and profitability. You'll report to the Regional Manager, Dealer Service, and manage a book of business, focusing on consultative selling of TrueCar products and features. You'll be the bridge between dealers and TrueCar, understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.

This is a field-based role with remote work options, but the ideal candidate will be located in the Central U.S.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and maintain a book of business, ensuring consistent dealer engagement.
  • Champion dealer success by addressing issues and reducing churn.
  • Onboard, train, and support dealers using established best practices.
  • Equip dealers with the resources they need to succeed on the TrueCar platform (training, self-service tools, performance reports).
  • Collaborate with the Dealer Operations team to troubleshoot, report, document, and solve problems for your book of business.
  • Build strong relationships with dealer leaders, decision-makers, and platform users.
  • Manage and resolve dealer escalations, working with Dealer Service and Operations teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between dealers and the Dealer Operations team for product implementation and ongoing product management.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and features, serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment focused on shared goals.
  • Document activity in Salesforce and communicate effectively with your team.
  • Support account receivables management.
  • Provide high-quality, urgent service and contribute to a culture of excellence.
  • Build strong relationships based on open communication and feedback.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven success in relationship management within the automotive industry.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to understand, interpret, and present data in a consultative manner.
  • Quick learner with a growth mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to listen and influence.
  • A history of delivering exceptional client service.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools (a plus).
  • Experience interacting with clients at all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to effectively present information, including complex technical content, and respond to client needs promptly.
  • Understanding of client standards and requirements related to product offerings.
  • Ability to communicate client requirements to internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • High integrity, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
  • Automotive retail dealership experience (a plus).

Compensation:

Base salary + target incentive: $100,000 - $127,000
