About the Company

Trades.org supports trade workers and remodeling consumers. The remodeling business often causes problems for both providers and consumers. Our goal is to help everyone feel reassured throughout the remodeling process by providing content, resources, and services designed to help with their projects. As a fully remote office, we look for people who are flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.

Important Details

• Pay Rate: $15 - $20 per hour or $75 - $120 per article. The payment structure can be discussed and finalized upon offer of employment.
• Hiring timeline: Immediate. We hope to finish our hiring process by Friday, May 29th to bring you on board by Monday, June 1.
• Hours: Flexible. Must be available for one week of remote training and ongoing, but infrequent manager check-ins.
• Benefits: None.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for writing clear, useful content that matches brand guidelines. We will train you to attract readers and drive digital involvement.

Expectations

• Create different content for the site, including articles, how-tos, and lists.
• Follow established style and substance rules.
• Get and use editor feedback.
• Submit up to 6 articles per week.

Requirements

• Dependable internet access and willingness to use your personal computer.
• Ability to research and use the internet to find answers to your questions.
• Motivation and strong work ethic, even when working from home with little supervision.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Previous writing experience, online or otherwise.
• Knowledge of or exposure to home remodeling, home improvement, or home construction.
