🧑‍💼 The Role

The Digital Workplace Messaging Team Lead position is part of our global Digital Workplace team within the IT Operations area. You'll be leading a small team of skilled engineers, acting as the primary point of contact for all messaging-related issues. You'll also contribute to project work, be the go-to expert for messaging matters, and provide technical guidance to the Architecture team.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead and Manage: Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions for your team.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and approved vendors.
  • Vendor Communication: Support communication with resellers and vendors.
  • Vendor Assessment: Meet with potential vendors to evaluate their products.
  • Compliance & Policies: Follow corporate compliance guidelines and enforce established policies to ensure best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Licensing: Manage licensing governance for your area of expertise.
  • Contract Renewals: Track contract renewal dates and support renewal processes.
  • SLA Management: Ensure the Messaging team meets defined service level agreements (SLAs) set by the ITSM Governance Team.
  • Reporting: Provide necessary reports (KPIs) to the Digital Workplace Manager.
  • Architecture & Service Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the current architecture and services.
  • Project Participation: Contribute to project delivery.

🤝 What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience: Managing and maintaining Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online solutions.
  • Messaging Troubleshooting: Experience troubleshooting messaging problems at both an organizational and technical level (globally).
  • Messaging Flow Expertise: Experience in end-to-end troubleshooting of messaging flows.
  • Vendor Licensing Knowledge: Knowledge of licensing from major vendors (like Microsoft and Zoom).
  • Compliance Reporting: Familiarity with compliance reporting.
  • Service Administration Portals: Experience using service administration portals for license assignment and monitoring installed software.
  • Vendor Auditing: Experience with vendor audits.

Preferred Knowledge/Experience:

  • Exchange & Related Technologies: Exchange, Exchange Online, Postfix, Postmark, SPF, DMARC, DKIM, MS Teams, MS Teams Voice.
  • IT Tools: ITIL, ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira.
  • SAP: Experience with SAP is beneficial.

  • English Proficiency: Advanced level in English, both written and spoken.

🎓 Education & Qualifications

  • IT Degree or Equivalent: Undergraduate or graduate degree in IT or equivalent experience with Microsoft Messaging solutions.
  • Certifications (Ideal): Formal training and certifications in Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams Voice, ServiceNow modules, and relevant business processes (ITIL, PMP).
