💼 The Role:


As our Director, Business Development, you'll be a key player in driving sales and growth. You'll use top-tier sales strategies, including consultative selling, to attract new clients, generate sales, and build strong relationships. This includes:


  • Identifying new business opportunities.
  • Developing effective sales strategies (emails, pitches, etc.).
  • Managing and updating our prospect and client database.
  • Supporting the Account team with proposals.
  • Working collaboratively with various departments.
  • Reporting to the SVP, Sales.

🎯 What You'll Do (Essential Responsibilities):


  1. Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with current and potential clients to secure sales and ensure future business, providing best-in-class service for profitability.
  2. Collaborate on Sales & Marketing: Participate in united sales and marketing efforts, focusing on the most profitable approaches for new products and developments.
  3. Plan & Report: Create a personal sales plan, track progress, and report on your success to meet sales goals and deliver profitable projects.
  4. Prospect & Identify Leads: Research and identify prospects using various platforms (sales engagement platforms, industry publications, LinkedIn, etc.) to maintain a pipeline of sales opportunities.
  5. Refine Sales Techniques: Engage with consultants and training to enhance sales skills and tactics, maximizing client interaction and driving referrals.
  6. Communicate Effectively: Build rapport with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
  7. Promote Company Vision: Share and promote Luth Research's vision and mission to achieve company goals.
  8. Other Projects: Tackle additional tasks and projects as assigned.

➕ Additional Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a positive company culture.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with prospecting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

🎓 What We're Looking For:


  • Education: Four-year college degree OR high school diploma with relevant experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of Market Research sales experience.
  • Skills: Exceptional internet and research skills; ability to creatively identify potential clients; strong written and verbal communication; organized and productive; self-motivated; proactive problem-solver; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
