Director of Battery Storage Construction

This crucial role leads and oversees all aspects of battery storage system construction, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You'll manage construction teams, coordinate activities from start to finish, and guarantee successful project delivery.

🛠️ What You'll Do:

• Direct and manage the construction team, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Cultivate a culture of safety and excellence on-site, providing guidance and oversight throughout the construction process.
• Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and resource allocations, ensuring compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee daily construction operations, managing teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure all construction adheres to engineering drawings, industry standards, and safety protocols, including battery systems, inverters, and related infrastructure installation.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control assessments to verify compliance with design specifications and regulations.
• Manage the permitting process, coordinating with regulatory agencies to secure approvals and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
• Ensure all construction practices comply with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to address design and technical challenges, ensuring effective interdepartmental communication.
• Maintain strong relationships with project managers, regulatory bodies, utility companies, and other stakeholders.

💪 What We're Looking For:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; 10+ years in battery storage or energy construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing battery storage system construction. Strong understanding of battery storage construction methods, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards. Proven ability to manage complex projects, adhering to budgets, schedules, and safety requirements.
• Preferred: Master's degree.
