We design, build, and manage renewable energy and storage solutions, bringing over a decade of global leadership to North America. This is a remote position based out of Irvine, CA.

What You'll Do 🎯
- Serve as the company's technical transmission expert, guiding interconnection and transmission-related activities.
- Identify and develop renewable PV generation and battery energy storage opportunities.
- Research and report on utility/ISO transmission expansion plans and merchant transmission opportunities.
- Monitor relevant regulations (FERC Order 2023-A, FERC Order 1920, etc.) to identify development opportunities and protect existing project entitlements.
- Use industry-standard analysis tools to understand market conditions and opportunities.
- Evaluate policy and regulatory changes in partnership with our Government and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Manage the assembly and submission of interconnection requests and modifications.
- Analyze the impact of transmission reforms and upgrades on existing queue positions.
- Collaborate with utilities, ISOs, and industry groups to advance favorable reforms and resolve regulatory issues.
- Review and validate interconnection study reports, quantify financial and schedule risks, and make recommendations for optimization.
- Secure capacity and transmission rights.
- Manage consultants as needed.
- Conduct due diligence on project acquisition opportunities.
- Provide project support from development through execution to operation and sale.
What We're Looking For 💪

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering preferred).

Experience: 7+ years of experience in large-scale renewable generation (50 MW or larger), working with ISOs and RTOs. Experience in energy and capacity markets, transmission planning, congestion management, utility resource planning, state regulatory engagement, and market design and operations is essential.

Skills: Strong understanding of interconnection tariff procedures and requirements, electrical engineering, and utility-scale renewable energy operations (Solar, Battery Storage). Experience with power flow modeling software (PSS/E, PSLF, TARA, PowerWorld) and economic transmission market planning and analysis (PROMOD) is a must. Proven ability to advance projects through development stages to the start of construction. Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills; a creative, hands-on problem solver capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Additional Information ℹ️
- This position reports to the Sr. Director of Interconnection and Land Development (or other VP/higher-ranking designee), with dotted-line responsibility to regional managers and strategic planners.
- Travel is generally limited (1-5 days/nights per quarter).
- Remote work is permitted.
Benefits and Compensation 💰
- Salary range: $170,000 - $215,000 per year. (Specific compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.)
