🤔 What's the Role About? As our K12 Director of World Language Curriculum and Professional Learning (DCPL), you'll be a key player in building strong relationships with educators, school districts, and educational institutions. Your focus will be on customer training, sales presentations, and professional development to drive the growth of our current and future language education programs.

🤝 What You'll Do:

  • Develop and roll out comprehensive product training programs for K-12 educators, ensuring they can confidently use our World Language solutions.
  • Give product demos, lead workshops, and give presentations to school districts and educational institutions, showcasing the advantages of our products.
  • Craft and deliver professional development sessions for educators, concentrating on best practices in World Language education.
  • Provide ongoing support and resources to our customers, responding to their questions and concerns, and ensuring a positive user experience.
  • Work with our Editorial, Marketing, and Sales teams to create persuasive and informative presentations that effectively communicate the value of our World Language educational solutions to potential clients.
  • Train our internal sales specialists and per diem consultants on successful sales strategies, program knowledge, and consultative selling techniques.
  • Partner with internal teams to gather feedback, resolve issues, and contribute to product improvements based on customer input.
  • Help with completing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Bids, and Proposal submissions as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, teaching advancements, and educational technology to continuously enhance our professional development offerings.
  • Be a champion for World Languages in K-12 education, actively engage with educational communities, attend industry events, and conferences.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a team of national World Language Engagement Specialists, as well as specialized per diem consultants and trainers.

💼 What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 10+ years of experience in K12 literacy and/or language sales, marketing, and professional development/training
    • Advanced knowledge of the K-12 World language customer and market needs and experience in creating professional development training instruction and content.
    • Knowledge of K-12 schools and purchasing practices as well as the latest trends in Language, strategies and planning methodologies.
    • Advanced communication, interpersonal, negotiation, editorial, and presentation skills. You should be able to communicate complex business and technical information effectively and adapt your communication style to different audiences.
    • Proven experience effectively building, motivating, coaching, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (like product development, sales, etc.) in agile environments to define, develop, and launch successful products.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable using sales technologies (CRM) to make data-driven decisions, create Go-To-Market plans based on diverse customer profiles and audience needs.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment with agility, and a willingness to contribute new ideas while executing on decisions and taking accountability for shifting priorities. You should be results-driven, self-motivated, and have a history of achieving revenue goals.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed and without restriction.
    • Excellent leadership and team building skills. You should be able to inspire others, identify areas to enhance systems, processes, and workflows for efficiency and results. You should be able to balance a tactical perspective with a strategic focus and lead your team with a growth mindset.
    • Strong people management skills. You should be able to effectively set and direct priorities for your department and cultivate talent while providing effective coaching and performance feedback.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience:
    • Advanced degree (MA preferred)
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
    • Familiarity and/or experience with VHL products

🌎 Location: Remote/Boston-Hybrid Candidates can work remotely anywhere in the US or, if within a reasonable distance to the Boston office, can work on a hybrid schedule. Must currently reside in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available.
