Job Description

Your Career

  • As a Domain Consultant for cloud native security, you will play a key part in defining technical solutions that secure a customer’s main business needs.
  • You will promote our industry-leading solutions in cloud security that establish Palo Alto Networks as a customer’s cybersecurity partner of choice.

Your Impact

  • Work with account teams to suggest and develop customer solutions within your assigned specialization area.
  • Present to customers as our expert at all levels in the customer structure, from people doing the work to senior leaders.
  • As the main technical contact for Cloud Security, you will help and work with others to answer Requests for Information (RFIs)/Requests for Proposals (RFPs) effectively.
  • Lead and support customer demonstrations that show our unique value.
  • Scope and lead Proof of Value (PoV) projects for potential customers and partners based on recommended approaches to make sure of a technical win in your assigned chances to sell.
  • Drive high technical validation and PoV win rates within your assigned specialization area.
  • Responsible for talking about and showing how the product matches customer needs and what makes it different.
  • Design solutions that will help customers make their security setup stronger and simpler.
  • Speed up the technical validation of suggested solutions within your specialization.
  • Write down High-Level Design and Key Use Cases to make sure Palo Alto Networks Solutions are put in place correctly and value is gained.
  • Help customers build and develop further their services around Prisma Cloud.
  • Lead conversations about industry trends and changes that are appearing in the security world.
  • Talk about, with confidence, what competitors offer in the market and position ours as the best choice.
  • Position Palo Alto Networks or Partner delivered services as fitting to make sure Palo Alto Networks solutions are put in place correctly and value is gained.
  • Act as a way for customer feedback to get to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor information, and Research & Development (R&D) to create requirements and deliver product features for customers.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • More than 3 years of technical sales or similar experience is highly preferred, or you are a graduate of the Palo Alto Networks Academy Program.
  • Hands-on experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) software tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools (IDEs, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Experience with configuration and administration of security features and services on Alicloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud (including identity and access management, networking, firewalls, encryption).
  • Knowledge of one or more cloud security areas such as Shift Left, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud Workload Protection (CWP), Kubernetes Security Posture Management (KSPM), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM), Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), AI-SPM.
  • Background in the security area or cloud security is preferred.
  • Understanding of container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

  • Proficient in English.

Compensation Disclosure

  • The pay offered for this job will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.
  • For candidates who get an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for jobs that are not sales) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned jobs) is expected to be between $173,000 - $237,500 per year.
  • The offered pay may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
