The Role: 🛠️

As our Infrastructure Platforms Engineer, you'll build and maintain the foundation of Shipt's technology. Your daily tasks include:

• Building and managing cloud networks and security features.
• Analyzing and managing traffic flow (private connections, NAT traffic).
• Troubleshooting incidents and identifying root causes.
• Creating and managing computing and Kubernetes resources using in-house tools, GCP native tooling, and IaC (Terraform).

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Develop and improve infrastructure automation using Terraform and other tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our infrastructure processes.

What We're Looking For: 🤔

• 3+ years of experience with scalable cloud or data-center infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform and its HCL language, and a solid understanding of Kubernetes.
• Experience working in a GCP cloud environment.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex problems.
• A commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
• Experience with Golang or Python is a plus.

Work Arrangement: 🏡🏢

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates located near Shipt offices in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis have the flexibility to work remotely (with leader approval) or in the office. In-office expectations vary by role and leader; some roles may require full-time in-office presence. Discuss this with your recruiter.

Compensation: 💰

• Metro Areas (Boston, DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City): $74,732 - $149,463
• All Other Locations: $62,186 - $124,481

Note: The salary range is a guideline; actual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, and location.
