The Role: Instructional Designer/Trainer

This isn't just a job; it's a chance to make a real difference. SSM Health's Epic Training team seeks a passionate instructional designer/trainer with extensive experience in Epic training and adult education. You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and crafting engaging blended learning solutions. This role requires collaboration with application experts and operational stakeholders to implement creative training solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Develop training curriculum and facilitate training delivery using your EHR expertise.
• Analyze workflows, application dependencies, and user competencies to define learning objectives. This involves working closely with end-users, subject matter experts (SMEs), and application analysts.
• Design and maintain role-based training materials and scenarios, incorporating adult learning principles and best practices. Translate complex technical information into easily understood steps.
• Review data to improve curriculum and devise assessments to measure course effectiveness. Facilitate training, adapting your approach to maximize knowledge transfer and retention across diverse audiences.
• Contribute to planning, designing, developing, building, and maintaining the training environment, including patient scenarios. Assist with training environment testing. Mentor colleagues.
• Apply project management principles to support task creation. Lead small projects.
• Solve complex problems, offering fresh perspectives and making sound judgments based on multiple information sources.
• Serve as an IT liaison for basic functionality questions related to implementations and upgrades, working with various stakeholders. Clearly communicate complex or sensitive information and build consensus.
• Take ownership of your professional development and stay updated on emerging technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need:

• Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Three years of relevant experience. Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing is required. Knowledge of MST build is desired.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements. Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). Frequent use of vision, hearing, and speech. Frequent keyboard use.

Location & Work Arrangement:

Remote work. Must reside in Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Wisconsin, or Michigan.
