The Role:


As an Epidemiologist, you'll play a key role in designing and analyzing observational epidemiologic studies, primarily using data from Nordic population-based and clinical registries. You'll work closely with a data analyst and be the day-to-day scientific manager for multiple projects. You'll also contribute to proposal development and other business development activities.


What You'll Do:


  • Coordinate the design of retrospective, cross-sectional, and/or prospective studies for review by the Principal Investigator.
  • Co-author project proposals and deliverables, ensuring timely delivery of drafts.
  • Synthesize contributions from team members into clear deliverables.
  • Develop initial drafts of project budgets and business development materials.
  • Provide scientific and financial project coordination (monitoring scope, budget, and timelines).
  • Regularly interact with clients, including calls, meetings, and presentations at scientific meetings.
  • Contribute to strategic thinking around demonstrating product value.
  • Develop and refine research questions, hypotheses, and recommendations relevant to client objectives.
  • Present strategies to senior staff to address scientific and operational challenges.

What We're Looking For:


  • Required: PhD or MSc in a relevant field with significant related experience.
  • Required: Applied experience in quantitative methods in epidemiology, focusing on data analysis using real-world observational data (e.g., claims data, electronic medical records).
  • Required: Experience with European databases.
  • Required: Good understanding of relevant methodology and statistics.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Required: Working knowledge of data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Stata, R) and MS Office software.
