The Role: This role focuses on creating innovative audiovisual system designs, CAD drawings, and comprehensive engineering plans. You'll be working with top-tier manufacturers like Crestron, Extron, Cisco, and Biamp.
What You'll Do:

Maintain Expertise: Stay up-to-date on the latest AV, streaming video, and content management advancements.

Industry Insights: Keep a pulse on competitor products, services, and emerging trends within the AV, conferencing, and collaboration landscapes.

Collaboration: Support the Project Management team during installations by providing guidance.

Sales & Proposal Generation: Craft compelling sales proposals and manage related documents like Bills of Materials (BOMs), RFP responses, pricing information, and Scopes of Work (SOWs).

Design & Engineering: Handle site surveys, system design, line drawings, detailed engineering plans, and other design-related tasks.

Communication & Consultation: Build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of staff and customers, delivering expert advice and guidance on leveraging technology effectively.

Technical Liaison: Manage the technical connections between the client, the firm, technology vendors, and distributors.

Client Support: Assist clients with feasibility studies, equipment budgeting, system needs, and specifications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with marketing, sales, logistics, and technical services teams.

Project Management: Take charge of projects, including goal-setting, budgeting, and meeting deadlines.
What We're Looking For:

Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or telecommunications engineering is desirable.
- Alternatively, 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar role can be considered.

5-7+ years of experience in sales support, design, or project engineering within a leading Audiovisual, Videoconferencing, or Unified Communications environment. (Candidates with comparable skills from technology vendor or end-user roles are encouraged to apply.)

Technical Writing & Documentation: Proven ability to create technical responses and formal documentation in written and visual formats.

Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.

Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal skills, high ethical standards, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication abilities.

Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively convey technical and non-technical information in a clear and engaging manner.

Technical Proficiency:
- Technical knowledge in at least 3 of the following: Audiovisual Equipment, Videoconferencing Endpoints, Network Equipment, Network Services, Hardware, Software, and Managed Services.

InfoComm (ICIA) CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certifications are preferred. Other industry certifications (DMC-E, EAVA, CVE, ACE) are also valuable.
- Proficiency in drawing software (AutoCAD/Visio) is a must.
- Understanding of AV signal flow is essential.

Control System Experience: Some experience with control systems DSP programming (AMX, Crestron, Extron) is beneficial.

Manufacturer Knowledge: Strong preference for experience with equipment from manufacturers like Polycom, Cisco, Tandberg, LifeSize, AMX, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Barco, and Christie Digital.

Project Design & Documentation: Experience in project development design and documentation is a plus.

AV Installation & Equipment: A solid understanding of the use, integration, and installation of AV equipment is required.

IP Networking: Some knowledge of IP networking, including routing protocols and VoIP, SIP, H.323, and videoconferencing applications is helpful.
