Responsibilities
- Act as the voice of the ECITB in government, industry, and beyond.
- Shape the future of the engineering construction sector by building high-level relationships.
- Drive collaboration within the sector.
- Champion the ECITBβs mission on skills and workforce development.
Requirements
- Experience in external affairs, public affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
- Exposure to engineering, construction, or skills development sectors is an advantage.
- Understanding of the UK political landscape and policymaking processes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive written materials.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to design and deliver effective external engagement strategies.
- Skilled at building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, securing trust and support.
- Able to work independently, balance multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of the engineering construction sectors and the skills and workforce development challenges.
- Current engagements with strategic networks across government, industry, or media.
- Experience organising stakeholder events and public engagements.
- Experience drafting speeches or supporting high-level communications.
Salary
- Up to Β£43,000 per annum.
Location
- Full-time, home based with some UK-wide travel.

- The ECITB works with employers and training providers to attract, develop and qualify the engineering construction workforce in a wide range of craft, technical and professional disciplines.
- The ECITB invests about Β£28 million each year to support skills development within the industry.
