The Role The Field Service Representative (FSR) will independently schedule and perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of highly complex robotics medical equipment. You'll play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction by verifying and approving the operational integrity of Stryker systems and equipment. Your decisions will directly impact the success of our brand.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate expertise in the repair, maintenance, operation, and clinical use of Stryker robotic systems and instruments.
- Knowledge of the surgical orthopedic industry is preferred.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making within established practices and policies when finding solutions.
- Manage your work calendar and travel schedule independently.
- Act as the company's liaison with customers on administrative and technical topics.
- Strive to achieve and maintain a high level of performance, ensuring Stryker meets and surpasses company financial goals and performance metrics.
- Validate and confirm that systems are ready for clinical use after service.
- Manage and oversee field inventory, tools, test equipment, technical documentation, and other assigned equipment.
- Prepare and submit all necessary field service documentation in a complete, accurate, and timely way. This includes, but isn't limited to, field service reports, expense reports, and service checklists.
- Proactively schedule and perform needed preventive maintenance visits and engineering updates (ECN’s) as needed.
- Other responsibilities may include travel, assisting other Field Service team members, teaching customers about equipment operation and maintenance, software and hardware upgrades/updates, equipment installation, and equipment maintenance at conventions, road shows, cadaver labs, or seminars as required.
What We're Looking For

5+ years of work experience – required
- Previous experience as a technical field service professional or in a similar role – preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent – required
- Bachelor's Degree – preferred
- Demonstrated strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and solid analytical abilities.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of robotics or complex products; knowledge of capital equipment is preferred.
- A proven track record of working independently and making critical decisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and time effectively.
- A consistent ability to document and collaborate with colleagues and R&D Engineering on new system fault observations and share the best repair action plan.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and office applications – required.
