The RoleΒ πŸ› οΈ Under the guidance of the Field Service Manager, you'll be a brand ambassador for Chromalox, providing expert support. As a Field Service Technician, you'll travel to customer locations and handle a variety of tasks, including:

  • Equipment checkout, startup, and troubleshooting of heater and control panel equipment, including heating cable.
  • Electrical and mechanical checks of heating equipment.
  • Collaborating closely with customers, as well as our engineering, purchasing, and vendor teams when replacement parts are needed.

This role is remote, with travel to customer sites and all Chromalox North American manufacturing plants.

What You'll DoΒ πŸ’Ό

  • Coordinate field service calls to meet monthly performance goals.
  • Install and replace components and products as needed.
  • Develop detailed proposals for standard and custom service contracts.
  • Manage important deadlines between customers, engineering, and production.
  • Understand documentation requirements for drawings, testing, approvals, and all submissions.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors as needed to complete fieldwork.
  • Address customer concerns related to equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Help customers and representatives solve equipment or application issues.
  • Offer startup and installation assistance via phone or on-site as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with others; train and teach colleagues.
  • Keep your workspace clean and organized.
  • Support and participate in company, department, and safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.

What We're Looking ForΒ πŸ”Ž

  • At least 3+ years of professional experience as a technician.
  • An Associate Degree of Science in Electronics is a plus but not required.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Confidence in making independent decisions that impact assigned projects.
