💼 The Role

The Ford Pro Fleet Sales Specialist is key to the success of Ford Pro, driving parts and service growth. This role is field-based, focusing on increasing parts and service traffic for Ford Pro at dealerships and distribution centers for repairs or parts purchases. You'll be contacting current Ford Pro customers and seeking out new commercial fleets for parts and service opportunities.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Generate sales of Ford Pro products and services, meeting set quotas.
  • Find new fleets and expand existing fleets' parts and service sales.
  • Boost wholesale parts sales.
  • Increase repair orders and service loyalty.
  • Expand mobile service offerings.
  • Enroll customers in programs and help them meet program goals.
  • Spot bid opportunities and assist with bid responses.
  • Collaborate with dealership outside sales reps on sales trips.
  • Gather VIN lists from fleet customers.
  • Follow up on leads generated by marketing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for Ford Pro services and software.

  • Sales Prowess: Proven sales skills with an entrepreneurial mindset (a "hunter" mentality) to effectively sell products and services to potential customers. This involves prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals. You'll be finding solutions that benefit both clients and dealers.
  • Product/Service Expertise: The ability to clearly communicate the benefits of all fleet solutions to prospective clients.
  • Industry Savvy: A good understanding of the fleet management industry is essential to effectively position products and services in the marketplace. This includes awareness of industry trends, competitors, and potential clients.
  • Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining strong client relationships is crucial for success in fleet management sales. You should be able to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions that address those needs.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analyzing sales data, monitoring performance, and making data-driven decisions to drive sales growth are essential.
  • Customer Focus: Providing exceptional customer service and building a positive reputation within the market.

Experience & Education

  • 3-5 years of commission-based sales experience is required, including experience regularly contacting potential clients to generate business.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of fleet or commercial automotive experience is a plus.
  • Experience with solutions-based selling is preferred.
