The Impact of the Role
The Front-End Developer will be responsible for creating engaging, responsive, and accessible user interfaces that give exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to turn design ideas into functional, high-quality web applications.
On a Given Day, a Front-End Developer Will
- Convert design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build and maintain reusable components and front-end libraries to make sure there is consistency and scalability.
- Adjust applications for speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Work with cross-functional teams to connect front-end components with back-end services.
- Make sure applications meet accessibility standards and adjust smoothly across devices.
- Keep high standards of code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.
- Stay current with new technologies and recommended approaches in front-end development.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with modern frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience with design systems and tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
