🚀 The Role:

As a Georgian-English OPI/VRI Interpreter, you'll be a vital part of connecting English and Georgian speakers. You'll provide accurate and professional interpretation services over the phone and video, ensuring clear communication across various industries. This is a fully remote position offering flexibility and the chance to make a real difference.

🎯 Responsibilities:

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to interpreter code of conduct.
• Take thorough notes during calls.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology (healthcare industry focus).
• Accurately convey all messages without omissions, additions, or substitutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients.
• Participate in internal professional training.
• Pursue opportunities for professional certifications.
• Report to your team leader.
• Adhere to video remote interpreting dress code.

💪 Requirements:

• Native fluency in Georgian and professional fluency in English.
• 1+ years of OPI experience with a reputable interpretation company.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Legal terminology knowledge (a plus).
• International healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) are a plus.
• High school diploma (native language).
• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory skills.
• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

💻 Technical Requirements (for Remote Work):

• Internet: Dedicated, high-speed, private, and secure internet connection (wired Ethernet; Wi-Fi not allowed). Minimum download speed: 20 Mbps; Minimum upload speed: 10 Mbps.
• System: Windows 10 or higher; Dual-core, 2 GHz processor (Intel Core i5 or better); 8 GB RAM minimum. No Chromebooks.
• Equipment: Single device (computer/laptop) for all required systems (no external devices allowed); External monitors/connectors (if needed); Computer must operate in "High Performance" mode; Power adapter plugged in (not battery power); Noise-canceling, wired headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth).
