Your Mission

As Head of Commercial in Portugal, you'll be based in Lisbon and responsible for managing our Sales, Big Chains, and Long Tail teams. You'll drive revenue growth through advertisements and inspire a team of 20+ people to bring the best from our partners across the country.

The Journey

  • Define and implement a long-term commercial strategy for Portugal.
  • Build a qualitative partner pipeline, optimize commercial conditions, and dimension the sales team.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with Big Chains and become their preferred delivery partner.
  • Guide your team through tough negotiations to close important deals with Big Chains and top accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing team to execute impactful promotional campaigns.
  • Achieve Advertisements Business Plan goals by building a yearly strategy and leveraging our selling assets effectively.
  • Drive, structure, and analyze daily work and information with local Commercial Managers, setting goals, delegating, and supervising performance.
  • Work closely with the HQ Commercial team to share best practices, benchmark with other countries, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to ensure smooth communication and activate action plans.
  • Manage the commercial budget to optimize revenue generation for Glovo.
  • Hire high-performing talent, support their growth, and inspire them to reach their full potential.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in fast-paced environments (startups, investment banking, top consulting firms, top internet firms).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams of 5+ people.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
  • Proven experience in tough negotiations.
  • Persuasive communication skills with a natural ability to sell.
  • Data-driven mentality with good business judgment.
  • Ability to find solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary problems.
  • Strong agility and comfort in ambiguous environments.
  • Respectful, kind, and fair leadership style.
  • Ambitious and results-oriented mindset.
  • Bias for action and a dedication to meeting deadlines.
