🤝 About the Role

The Head of Core Alliances will lead a team responsible for creating and managing profitable alliances across multiple regions for VTEX. You'll strengthen VTEX's ecosystem by fostering influential, long-term partnerships, making data-driven decisions, and focusing on revenue growth. This role needs someone who can provide valuable insights to other VTEX Growth teams about relevant alliances for our merchants, while also managing daily operations and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Execute Core Alliances Strategy: This includes Payments Alliances and Strategic alliances (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.).
  • Centralize Partner Management: Work with regional teams to manage SIs, Agencies, Marketplaces, Logistics, Carriers, Loyalty, and other partners globally.
  • Drive Insights for Growth Teams: Share insights about relevant alliances and partners for our merchants, aligning with company goals and priorities.
  • Manage High-End Partners: Oversee the management of key partners, which includes contract negotiations, go-to-market strategies, performance targets, and rebate management.
  • Develop Partnership Standards: Create standards and guidelines for all regions to ensure consistency in ACV-oriented goals.
  • Approve Contracts & Prioritize Connectors: Review business clauses for regional contracts and prioritize the list of connectors for homologation.
  • Assist with Payment Provider Recommendations: Provide guidance and solutions for strategic partnerships with payment providers to Growth areas.
  • Oversee AWS & Big Tech Alliances: Manage the AWS Partnership across regions, Global/Multi Region Big Tech Alliances over $100k/year, and Big Tech Alliances Roadmap for VTEX.
  • Manage Extensions Hub Strategy: Ensure a solid business and marketing strategy for the Extensions Hub, including access control, go-to-market plans, business homologation, guidelines/catalogs, billing/pricing, and business clauses/negotiation ranges.
  • Optimize Core Alliances Performance: Constantly assess and optimize the performance of Core Alliances, using KPIs to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate for Revenue Growth & Customer Acquisition: Work with cross-functional teams to discover new opportunities for revenue growth and customer acquisition.
  • Align with Internal Teams: Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to guarantee alignment and collaboration on partnerships and initiatives.
  • Develop Joint Marketing Campaigns: Create and execute joint marketing campaigns and co-branded content with partners.

The Core Alliances team focuses on creating and managing profitable alliances for VTEX, enhancing the VTEX ecosystem, and providing insights to other VTEX Growth teams about partner solutions that improve merchant outcomes.

🎯 Who We're Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic partnership management, business development, or a related field.
  • Digital Commerce Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the digital commerce industry landscape and market dynamics relevant to our business.
  • Language: Fluency in English. Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.
  • Negotiation & Deal-Making: Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.
  • Project Management & Prioritization: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and complex partnerships at the same time.
  • Relationship-Building: Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and collaborate with various departments.
  • Market Trends & Best Practices: A strong understanding of market trends and industry best practices.
