Housekeeping Aid, Environmental Services Full-time Evenings

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties for the cleaning and maintenance of KPC facilities.
• Assists in the receiving, distribution, and accounting of clean linen and wearing apparel.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
• Education: Less than High School.
• Must meet state labor laws if operating equipment.
• Ability to follow simple instructions.
• Ability to keep simple records of job duties and reports as directed.
• Ability to maintain compliance with principles of acted conduct.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management staff.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Knowledge of absentee replacement of short notice.
• Knowledge of exposure to infections and contagious diseases.
• Knowledge of regular exposure to the risk of blood borne pathogens.
• Knowledge of hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids, and wastes.
• Knowledge of hazards from electrical, mechanical, or power equipment.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning agents, and chemicals.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• On-the-job training preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of basic cleaning skills.
• No previous experience required.
