What You'll Do
- 📞 Make outbound calls to insurance companies to verify benefits
- 🕵️♀️ Evaluate insurance coverage and recommend appropriate products
- 📑 Efficiently verify, review, and complete insurance verifications
- 📝 Identify and initiate documentation needs
- 💰 Review patient accounts and determine payment collection actions
- 🔍 Review claims, perform corrections, and submit to new carriers
- 🧠 Have a strong understanding of billing procedures, insurance reimbursement procedures, and HCPC codes
- 📈 Analyze and correct accounts receivable problems
- 🔒 Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- 🗓️ Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and be flexible
- 🤝 Follow Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations

What You Need
- 🎓 High School diploma
- 💼 One-year medical insurance verification related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 🧠 Strong working knowledge of billing procedures, insurance reimbursement procedures, and HCPC codes
- 💻 Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer literacy
- 🩺 Ability to understand Medical Records documents
- 🗓️ Position may require evening and weekend availability
