The Role
WCK seeks a passionate Fundraising Consultant based in Spain to develop and implement a high-impact fundraising strategy. This role is crucial in maximizing revenue from individuals, corporations, and foundations across Spain, expanding their donor base, and diversifying revenue streams. The consultant will work closely with WCK's US-based development team.
Key Responsibilities 🎉

Fundraising Strategy Development: Create and execute a fundraising plan targeting high-net-worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and grassroots donors, focusing on unrestricted funds.

Donor Cultivation & Relationship Management: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with potential donors in Spain, fostering long-term commitment to WCK's mission.

Grant Writing & Proposal Development: Collaborate with the US grant-writing team on proposals to Spanish foundations and corporations, aiming for sustainable funding.

Climate & Conflict Fundraising: Promote WCK's Climate Disaster Fund and humanitarian work in conflict zones, highlighting their importance to WCK's global efforts.

Event Planning & Execution: Organize impactful fundraising events (virtual and in-person) to raise WCK's profile and donor engagement in Spain.

Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular, data-driven updates on progress towards financial goals, donor engagement, and overall performance. Accurate data maintenance in Salesforce is essential.
Deliverables 📝
- A comprehensive fundraising strategy for Spain.
- Monthly reports on donor activities, secured funding, and prospect pipelines.
- Timely submission of grant proposals.
- Successful execution of at least one major fundraising event.
- Development of strategic partnerships expanding WCK's presence in Spain.
Contract Term 📅
10-11 months initially, with potential extension based on performance.
Requirements 💪
- Proven success securing significant funding (individual, corporate, foundation) in Spain, ideally within the nonprofit/humanitarian sector.
- Experience in high-stakes fundraising requiring innovative approaches.
- Strong connections within Spain's philanthropic community.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Deep understanding of WCK's mission, the global humanitarian landscape, and a commitment to feeding people in crisis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Legal authorization to work in Spain.
