Want to teach part-time and remotely? Join the Elevate K-12 Teacher network! We're searching for certified U.S. Math teachers for grades K-12 with an English as a Second Language/English Language Learner (ESL/ELL) endorsement for the 2024-2025 school year.

💰 Compensation

We offer a 1099 contract position. No benefits or taxes are withheld.

Elevate teachers get an hourly rate for teaching time, PLUS guaranteed extra pay for administrative work outside of class. We combine these rates to get an effective pay per classroom hour. Your final rate depends on factors like state, subject, grade level, curriculum, and more.

Here's the pay range for ESL/ELL Math teachers:

• Grades K-8: $36 - $41.60 per teaching hour
• Grades 9-12: $44.40 - $50.70 per teaching hour

💻 What Elevate LIVE Teaching Is Like

Think of it as a regular class, but LIVE! We livestream U.S. certified teachers who teach remotely into public school classrooms across the country. The students aren't remote or homeschooled – they attend class in a physical classroom. It's a regular school day, with teachers asking questions, students raising hands, all made possible by our technology. Elevate LIVE teaching is designed to mimic a traditional classroom setting.

Each classroom has a Classroom Coach – an adult who helps with classroom management, keeps kids on task, and supports the teacher. Our tech platform is designed for K-12 students to promote effective and engaging teaching. We also have a 24/7 support network for teachers and schools in case issues come up.

🤝 What We Expect from Elevate Teachers

• Adaptability: You'll teach classes that start throughout the semester, usually 10-20 hours a week, building up your schedule throughout the year.
• Commitment & Consistency: You're the teacher of record for your students.
• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with students, the Classroom Coach, other Elevate K-12 professionals, and school employees.
• Flexibility & Critical Thinking: Adapt to change quickly to achieve the best student outcomes.
• Meeting Deadlines: Adhere to Elevate and school deadlines.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable working remotely and using technology.
• Online Organization: Maintain a high level of online organization and professional skills.
• Reliable Internet: Have a consistent internet connection and a suitable, professional teaching environment.

📜 Mandatory Requirements

• Passion for Teaching: Above all, you must have a passion for exceptional teaching!
• U.S. Teaching Certification: Active, verifiable U.S. teaching certification in both Math and English as a Second Language and/or English Language Learner (ESL/ELL).
• Experience: Certified and experienced teaching students in grades K-12.
• Reciprocity: You must either have a valid certification or be willing to pursue reciprocity in one of the states listed above.
• U.S. Residency: You must live in the U.S. and plan to stay for at least two months after signing your contract.
• U.S. Education: All degrees must be from U.S. institutions, and you must have completed a traditional teacher preparation program.
• Test Score Reports: Able to obtain score reports from the tests needed for your original teaching certificate.
• (Helpful): Verification of three years of full-time teaching experience in a traditional school within the last seven years.
• Bachelor's Degree: From an accredited university or college.
• Availability: A daily block of at least three consecutive hours, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm EST.
• Part-Time Commitment: Ability to work a part-time schedule of 10-20 hours/week during normal school hours.
• Reciprocity Commitment: Willingness to pursue reciprocity in one or more additional states.
• Tech Requirements: Laptop or desktop computer with a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
