Responsibilities
- Utilize marketing resources to create and manage a high-volume sales pipeline.
- Work closely with sales engineers, internal support resources, and channel partners to make sure of consultative engagement with prospects.
- Farm the existing customer account with the upsell or cross sell of new products/solution.
- Plan and execute new customer acquisition within territory expertise.
- Record customer development activities within a CRM to make sure of operational excellence.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of prospective buyers, including executives, and internally at Akamai.
Requirements
- Have relevant sales experience and experience in new business acquisition.
- Have experience selling cloud computing solutions.
- Have experience selling cyber security software solutions to Enterprise customers.
- Have a proven track record in over-achieving quarterly/annual quotas with enterprise level targets.
- Have high ethics, integrity, and be very self-motivated.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- As a Major Account Executive, you will be a regional expert in acquisition sales.
- You will be managing existing accounts as well as acquiring new customers depending on the territory assignment.
- Success will be clearly defined and there will be room for creativity to achieve your targets.
