The Role
The Manager - Quality Control will develop, implement, and communicate a clear quality deviation handling process for damage control, including guidelines, working methods, checklists, SOP, and IT system support. This role involves leading the WH merchandising team to reduce poor quality stock in the warehouse through trouble code identification, investigation, reporting, decision-making, and follow-up of correction actions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, Implement, communicate a clear quality deviation handling process, for damage control, including guidelines, working methods, checklists SOP, IT system support.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and follow up the KPI measurements for product compliance and cost of poor quality in warehouse.
  • Lead WH merchandising team to reduce poor quality stock in warehouse through trouble code identification, investigation, reporting, decision making and follow up of correction actions.
  • Make sure timely goods decision making, clearance and follow up on regular basis for stock non-sellable / non-repairable including approval and write off.
  • Make sure proper stock separation and marking for blocked goods under different trouble codes, to secure that no defect products are sent to stores or to customer
  • Improve and implement the standard solution for repair workshop, including space, equipment and staff needed for sound and effective working conditions.
  • Plan, keep track and budget for product and component procurement in and out flow for repair shop.
  • Follow up on PQR stocks with concerned department to make sure timely closure of claims and replacements.
  • Set goals, measure and follow up the daily operations for QC team performance

Requirements (What We’re Looking For)

  • Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training: Engineering or Post Graduate in Quality Control or Business Administration
  • Advanced Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training:
    • Must have expertise in Furniture manufacturing and Quality control process.
    • Must have expertise in set up of Quality Control consumer products.
    • Must have expertise in warehouse management and logistic flows.
    • Must have expertise stock correction and claim management.
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience of QC / manufacturing of furniture and home dΓ©cor goods, with minimum of 5 years leadership in WH environment.
  • Specific / Relevant Experience: Must have experience from other global Retailer in home furnishing products.
  • Skills and Capabilities:
    • Knowledge and Industry expertise in both Household products & Furniture
    • Ability to analyze facts and take decisions
    • Ability to build strong teams to drive performance towards set goals.
    • Effective communicator with excellent relationship building & Interpersonal skills
    • Fluent in English for both oral and written
