The Role: 🤔

As a Manager, you'll work directly with clients, both independently and as part of a talented team. This role blends individual contributions with collaborative efforts, offering opportunities for growth and mentorship.

What You'll Do:

• Develop specialized expertise across multiple accounting areas.
• Enhance your skills and share knowledge with junior team members.
• Effectively communicate with engagement leadership and clients.
• Lead client and team meetings.
• Embrace new challenges and step outside your comfort zone.
• Provide exceptional, timely client service and high-quality work.
• Add value through complex transaction analyses (IPOs, M&A, divestitures, SPACs/reverse mergers, debt/equity placements).
• Apply technical accounting knowledge (FASB, SEC regulations) to meet client needs.
• Analyze and interpret generally accepted accounting principles, consulting with senior team members.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor staff, contributing to performance feedback and training.
• Cultivate a positive workplace culture and uphold our code of conduct.
• Strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Support growth initiatives through pursuits, market research, and networking.
• Foster client relationships to successfully complete audits.
• Contribute expertise in areas like revenue analysis, equity accounting, financial statement preparation, SEC reporting, and global accounting activities (IFRS, foreign currency, consolidations).

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 5-7 years in public accounting and industry (minimum 3 years in public accounting), including 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• License: CPA license is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience across various industries (tech, biotech, life sciences, etc.) is a plus.
• Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), technical accounting research aptitude, client management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Attributes: Intellectually curious, detail-oriented, hard-working, team-oriented, and passionate about technical accounting. Ability to manage teams and take ownership of work product.

Location & Work Arrangement: 🌎

This is a remote position with the expectation of occasional onsite work at client locations. Access to Connor Group offices across the U.S. is available based on location and personal preference. Approximately 25% travel may be required.
