🎯 Your Role

As a Manufacturing and Equipment Engineer, your main goal is to improve the reliability, uptime, maintainability, and production speed of precision manufacturing equipment. This involves supporting the equipment from its early development through its operation at international customer locations. You'll ensure that all the necessary work instructions, troubleshooting guides, tools, training materials, and spare parts are readily available for both the manufacturing and customer support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the customer's needs during the product design phase, ensuring operational requirements are incorporated into the design.
  • Analyze global product performance and define improvement needs for the design.
  • Review technical documentation, including design reviews and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) documents developed by the design team.
  • Develop work instructions and diagnostic documents to ensure seamless product implementation in the factory and the field.
  • Share knowledge from the development team to operational teams and local service organizations.
  • Create cost-effective spare parts and tools.
  • Serve as an expert in troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Reduce operational costs for high-volume products.
  • Offer hands-on support for installation and maintenance at customer sites and in the factory.
  • Monitor and assess structural improvements and feedback implemented by the development team.

🧑‍💼 Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment in an international setting.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to proactively manage projects to meet both internal and external customer needs.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
    • Commitment to consistent quality standards for customer service and a flexible approach to work.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
