The Role: Marketing Automation Strategist
We are looking for an ambitious Marketing Automation Strategist to help Joi become the world’s most customer-centric gifting company. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expert-level marketing knowledge and have a true passion for marketing automation, along with a ‘sleeves rolled up’ mindset.

Job Responsibilities:
- Create growth hacking strategies to drive a world-class inbound engine (deploying customer.io).
- Develop and execute complex email, push notification, and SMS automation strategies.
- Design and document journey blueprints in collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders.
- Strategize and maintain a calendar designed to attract a targeted audience (special offers, blog posts, bundles, etc.).
- Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, e-mail campaigns, push notifications, and customer acquisition content (including offers).
- Continually look for new ways to generate sales and manage targeted list development.
- Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers.
- Conduct A/B testing, as well as customer, competitor, and product research, generating monthly campaign reports.
- Leverage industry best practices and campaign insights to challenge conventional thinking and provide new and innovative approaches to reaching diverse audiences through marketing automation.
- Engage in strategic and technical discussions with internal team members and client contacts.
Requirements (What We’re Looking For):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing research, business administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of digital strategy and product management experience in an agency or large organization.
- 2+ years of e-commerce email automation expertise and App marketing automation.
- Solid experience with marketing automation (Customer.io, or Hubspot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Possess an integrated background with online/offline expertise.
- Ability to confidently consult on marketing automation and marketing strategy, usage, results, and findings.
- Demonstrate superior oral and written English skills.
Nice to Have:
- Be a subject matter expert for the customer.io account, integrated data processes, and connected systems maintain a calendar.
- Marketing automation experience – preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, or Customer.io.
- Hubspot certification.
- Working proficiency of HTML.
