The Role:
As Member Advocacy Manager, you'll lead, scale, and innovate our Member Advocacy team. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a passion for exceptional customer service and experience in scaling teams to meet growing demands. You'll be instrumental in optimizing processes, collaborating across departments, and coaching a team of associates. You'll also be a key voice for members, providing feedback and insights to improve policies and processes.
Responsibilities: 🎯
- Manage the daily performance of a team of full-time and part-time Associates and Specialists.
- Develop and maintain training resources for a growing team, conducting regular quality checks.
- Communicate critical business updates, team changes, and other important information to the team.
- Scale processes and the team, suggesting efficiencies, automations, and cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with Enrollment, Product, Coaching, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for applicants and members.
- Act as the voice of the member across departments, ensuring the team is prepared for any changes.
90-Day Plan: 🗓️
- Become a subject matter expert on Virta's treatment and product.
- Familiarize yourself with internal policies, systems, tools, and procedures.
- Build relationships within the Member Advocacy team and the wider Virta organization.
- Understand Member Advocacy associate performance metrics and provide effective coaching.
- Plan and begin implementing process optimizations and workflow updates to scale the team.
What We're Looking For: 💪
- Must-Haves:
- 2+ years managing a high-performing, customer-facing team.
- Experience with technology, digital tools, and systems (ZenDesk, JIRA, and EMR software preferred).
- Experience in a fast-paced, growing company, managing change and leading through growth.
- Experience leading virtual trainings and creating digital resources for a remote team.
- Proven ability to coach individuals to success, meeting established goals and metrics.
- Experience working cross-functionally and advocating for team resources.
- Scheduling flexibility to support team needs.
- Strongly Preferred: Experience working and managing teams in the digital healthcare field.

Additional Information:
- This role involves access to sensitive patient information governed by HIPAA. Security and privacy training will be provided.
- Compensation: $69,000 - $81,000 (location-based compensation structure).
