📅 About the Role:
This Skillbridge internship at GE Healthcare offers military personnel a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience in the medical technology field. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the maintenance and repair of medical imaging equipment within a hospital setting. This is a chance to transition your military skills into a civilian career while continuing to receive your military compensation and benefits.
👨🔧 What You'll Do:
- Under supervision, troubleshoot and repair imaging/PCS equipment.
- Perform planned maintenance (PM) and safety/environmental inspections.
- Maintain excellent customer relations within the hospital environment.
- Follow GE policies, hospital protocols, and complete required documentation.
- Communicate with customers to ensure issue resolution and satisfaction.
- Assist senior technicians on complex repairs.
- Document repair actions and submit reports.
- Manage parts inventory and vendor service delivery processes.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and ensure calibration.
- Stay current on technical standards, codes, and safe equipment use.
- Adhere to Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training.
- Report customer quality or compliance concerns immediately.
- Comply with the GEHC Quality Manual and relevant regulations.
💪 What We're Looking For:
- Active Military Personnel: Currently serving and within 180 days of separation.
- Customer Relations: Proven ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs., bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, and stand/sit for extended periods. Requires good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity (color, close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception).
- Location Restriction: Relocation beyond 30 miles from your current location requires manager approval.

- Prior experience or coursework in troubleshooting biomedical, diagnostic imaging, or electronic equipment.
- Experience interpreting schematic diagrams and performing planned maintenance.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly.
- Experience collaborating with internal teams and external customers.
