The Role: 💼

As a Mortgage Closer, you will play a crucial role in the loan closing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This is an onsite position requiring in-person work in Neptune Beach, Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of all essential information submitted for closing.
• Maintain clear communication with brokers, processing, and underwriting staff.
• Accurately calculate monthly payments, escrows, and prepaid interest.
• Prepare and organize all closing documents for conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
• Adhere to all established procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact from closing request to loan shipment/investor purchase.
• Manage a closing pipeline, completing documents within 48 hours (refinance) and 24 hours (purchase), ensuring timely delivery and adherence to wire cut-off times. Resolve branch deficiencies promptly.
• Deliver complete closed loan files in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of mortgage funding/closing experience.
• Experience with Encompass in a paperless environment.
• Proficiency in closing loans under TRID regulations.
• Ability to analyze credit reports, bank statements, income documentation, and appraisal documents for program compliance.
• Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to fluctuating workloads.
• Strong mathematical skills.
